Font investigationFONT FOR MASTHEADS AND SUBHEADINGS CHOICE ONE- ROCKWELL EXTRA BOLD

This is my first choice for the masthead and subheadings; I think this is a suitable font for my magazine. The reasons why this is appropriate for the magazine is because it fits in with the look being sharp, clear and modern because there is isn’t any unnecessary flicks or exaggerated parts to the font. This would be my favoured choice, because I prefer this option to the others I also believe it fits in well with the layout and style of the magazine. I have asked a few people who are in the demographic of the magazine; they said that they thought it was professional and best fitting to the genre and style of my magazine.

FONT FOR MASTHEADS AND SUBHEADINGS CHOICE TWO- GLOUDY STOUT

This is my second choice for the masthead and subheadings, the reasons why I have chosen this particular font is because it is unique and has a retro look which is a symbol to the magazine I have created and the genre. I disadvantage of this font is because it is not as easy to read especially when there is a lot of text next to each other. I have asked a few people who are in the demographic of the magazine; they said that they thought it was fitting to a unique style of magazine, they however said that it is difficult to read which makes it difficult for the readers.

FONT FOR MASTHEADS AND SUBHEADINGS CHOICE THREE- ARIAL BLACK

This is my last choice for the masthead and subheadings, the reasons why I have chosen this particular font is because it is easy to read I have chosen this because the last font was hard to read. The disadvantage to this is that it is relatively plain and simple, although I have gone for a minimalistic style, I do feel that this is to plain for my magazine. I have asked a few people who are in the demographic of the magazine; they said that they thought it was to plain against the rest of the magazine, they much preferred the first option. I think that I am going to choose the first option as my font for headings and subheadings as it has got more positive comments.

FONT FOR THE TEXT (INTERVIEW FOR THE DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD) CHOICE ONE- GEORGIA

This is my first choice of font for the text (interview for the double page spread) the reasons why I have chosen this particular font is that again it is clear and that it is also goes well with the magazine. I will be using this to put on the double page spread for the interview with the main guest; it needs to be clear because the text won’t be large because it most of the DPS will be mostly made up of a masthead subheadings and an image or images. I have asked a few people who are in the demographic of the magazine; they said that they thought it was a good font to use in the DPS; the only disadvantage is that there may be better options.

FONT FOR THE TEXT INCLUDING INTERVIEW FOR THE DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD CHOICE TWO- IMPACT

This is my second choice of font for the text (interview for the double page spread) the reasons why I have chosen this particular font it is not only bold but also clear to use for the text. The only disadvantage to this could be that the readers could become confused between the mastheads and subheadings with the interview text because they are both bolded. I have asked a few people who are in the demographic of the magazine; they said that they thought it was a good font to use in the DPS; because of the fact it is bolded and easy to read, they backed me when I said that it was confusing with the headings and subheadings.

FONT FOR THE TEXT INCLUDING INTERVIEW FOR THE DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD CHOICE THREE- AGENCY FB

This is my last choice of font for the text (interview for the double page spread) the reasons why I have chosen this particular font is because it is and has simplistic and modern appearance. The disadvantage to this font is that it is maybe too simplistic and also it has a stretched effect on the font, it has a distorted look to it and might be hard to read for some readers. I have asked a few people who are in the demographic of the magazine; they said that they thought it was a font that could be a good fitting to the magazine although it has been stretched which could make it hard to read as an interview text. I am going to choose the first font because it has been given the most positive comments and there was also no better option to choose.
